Prior to the programme Michel Bauwens & the Promise of the Blockchain, organised by De Brakke Grond and FIBER, there will be an expert meeting about the decentralised ledger technology. The goal is to set out how artists, designers and developers are currently applying the blockchain and what the value of the blockchain is/can be within the context of cultural production and social innovation. Examples could be the distribution of work, (fractured) authorship, archives of work, speculative artworks that explore possibilities or pitfalls or new approaches to collaboration and public knowledge sharing. Experts are invited to share their experiences, and vision on blockchain-based technologies.
